- Are the details you've entered correct? It is more common than you'd think for a number to be miss-typed.
- Are there sufficient funds on the card you are trying to use?
- Have you placed a number of orders online in a short period of time? Some banks and building societies will decline payments if the card has been used multiple times within the same day to prevent fraudulent transactions. In this instance you can contact your bank and ask them to authorise further payments.
